We aim for every class to get 100% attendance each week. Anything over 95% is good.

It is disappointing to see so many classes achieving less than 95%.

Congratulations

A big well done to Jessica Withey in Year 6 who won the Bloomsbury’s Malkin Moonlight creative writing competition with her brilliant entry about a fox! Jessica wins a Kindle Fire and a bundle of books as well as £100 of books for our school!

Open Morning

The open morning planned for Friday November 18th has had to be postponed. We will rearrange this early in the spring term.

Dressing for the cold weather

Can I please remind parents that children need to be bringing coats to school, as the weather is getting colder; hats, gloves and scarfs should be marked with your child’s name. Children can wear black boots, wellington boots should be changed when they come into school.

Since we have stopped Whale Done! Points we have noticed children are not coming to school wearing the correct school uniform– we have always been so proud of how smart our children look. We will be reintroducing points for school uniform when we launch Dojo Points in January.

Ziggies

Come along to Ziggies, every Monday 3:30pm Deri View Primary. This is a brilliant hour for you to spend with your child reading books, making things and generally having a lot of fun!  Ziggies also have a Facebook Page -  Ziggies at Deri View.
